Patience is a virtue. Listen to http://knucklepuck.bandcamp.com/ until we get our shit together.
We honestly don’t care if people post/download our music for free. We want everyone to hear our music by any means necessary. Continue the piracy.
From Dan Lambton:
Hello, everybody. My name is Dan and I am writing today’s road blog because Kyle is a very busy man and frankly doesn’t give a shit if this gets posted because Zack is very mean to us.
Barrington is in the north Chicago suburbs and since we’re from the south suburbs today is kind of a hometown show for us. We needed to make sure we had a very pop punk burrito lunch at Moe’s because we needed fuel to show the big league boys in ICF and WTP how us “bad boys” from “chi town” get down and dirty.
Drew from I Call Fives had been talking a lot of smack on twitter about how there was a very good chance that his testicles were bigger than Dave’s, so the first thing we did when we got to the venue was have them whip those meat sacks out and shake it for the judges. Drew’s balls are huge and I don’t think we will ever see bigger balls on anyone else.
Remember that awesome car that Chris from ICF bought in Columbus the other day? Well we all thought that it would be a good idea to put three grown ass men in it and drive it down a hill. That didn’t work out, and both of the back wheels ended up blowing out and the car was destroyed. We all cried because that car was cooler than anything you would see on “primp my ride.”
Even though the car was totaled, we still managed to make the best out of the day. Anybody that has been out to one of our shows has most likely seen Ellis, the creepy ass clown we keep by our merch. A few weeks ago, my friend Dave got us a second clown that we named Eleanor and tonight they were brought together in holy matrimony right before our set. I cried.
We usually ask for people to hate us/insult our existence though, so it’s all good.
Come hang, but make sure you bring your own rope!
Camel blues. Pall mall blues when I’m feeling poor, which is most of the time.
Brian and Eric are both offended that you don’t care about them.
Selling out of…? I mean If you buy all of our merch at once you can tell everyone, “real friends sold out.”
Yeah, it’s going to be in NY though. We will be performing in the ball as it drops in times square.
Nope, we do not have any “edgy merch”.
if you mean the sound from our cd, we used a 5150 and an orange head, can’t remember the specific model. Main guitar used was a Gibson Chet Atkins “Tennessean”.
I know that feeling exactly, and if you feel that way when our music is playing then I honestly don’t know how to say thank you enough.
It was just a fancy way of saying “stockroom worker”.
I just find it funny someone actually questioned if one of us was 41. There was an error in the article anyways. Brian is the one who said, sarcastically, that he was 41.
Dan is an “office supplies retail associate”
Kyle is a “parking specialist”
Eric is a “logistics management associate”
Dave is a “guy who washes dishes”
Brian is a “coffee brewmaster”
I’m getting married to a giant mozzarella stick next spring.
Is that a problem?
I almost guarantee it was him. Kyle lives in the vents of the mall.
Also, I applaud your use of wordception.
Alright I’ll be honest. I’ve seen the show maybe once or twice, thought it was okay. Also, I do not know any of the actors/actresses.
I Call Fives are kicking off a tour this weekend with With The Punches. Stickup Kid and Real Friends will also be joining the bands on different points of the tour, so we’re stoked to have three of them for a new PropertyOfZack Playlist. Check out the Playlists below while listening to the songs on Spotify and reading everyone’s thoughts!
Taking Back Sunday - Who Are You Anyway?
Initially I was a little bit turned off when I heard the way the vocals went on the new album..after a few listens, I really enjoy their s/t album and in particular love this song.
We Are The Union - Live Like Mitch *Song is not on Spotify
We toured with these guys, The Story So Far, and Handguns last summer. It was one of my most fun tours these past 6 years. WATU just put out a new record and I enjoy this song and you should check out the album.
Hostage Calm - On Both Eyes
Hostage Calm - Woke Up Next To A Body
I first met Hostage Calm sometime in 2010 when we played with them at the Blast o Mat in Denver. I had heard about them a little before that through my friends hardcore band Petition and assumed these guys were a similar style. Once they started their set, I soon realized they had totally changed their style up. 2 years later, they have really come in to their own and perfected their craft. This album is excellent.
Heart to Heart - The Turn
I’ve known these guys for a long time and their growth as a band since first meeting them has really been something. Their record is powerful and has songs with a meaning, which in 2012 isn’t actually as common as you’d think. I am a big fan of their new record, check it out.
Half Hearted Hero - Cobblestones
I remember driving over the bridge in Virginia Beach listening to this song in the fall of 2009, something about driving the van over that bridge at the start of a tour was just therapeutic or something, I always think back to it when I hear this song. “I came here to find a purpose but lately I just feel worthless”
Diamond Youth - Fix of Mine
My friend Alex showed me these guys over the summer, I was instantly into these guys. They have an Alkaline Trio feeling to them in the perfect way, plus my pal Paul Leavitt did the album. You need to check this band out.
Death Cab For Cutie - Title and Registration
This is just one of those songs that I’ve found myself listening to fairly regularly for a long, long time. It’s weird thinking that Transatlanticism came out nearly 10 years ago. There’s something deeper in this song to me, I’ve always felt it was so relatable,
Crime in Stereo - New Harlem Shuffle
They’re back and this is one of the first songs I remember hearing from them.
The Composure - Stay The Course *Song is not on Spotify
There are a few times I’ve seen a band that was so exceptional live, a band that is clearly so set apart from everyone else…We played with Four Year Strong in a hall next to a post office back in 2007 and I remember from the second they started playing, the band had just what I was talking about. I haven’t really seen many others do this to me in recent memory, except The Composure. They are some of the tightest musicians I’ve seen and their songs are great. As good as their recordings are, I don’t even think it does them the full justice they deserve..go catch them at a show and watch them live.
Lifetime – Somewhere In The Swamps Of Jersey
Been listening to a lot of Lifetime b-sides lately. This is one of the coolest Lifetime tunes, the lack of length keeps me going back to listen over and over again.
Paramore – That’s What You Get
The verses in this song is what pulled me in. The rythyms that Paramore has are so awesome and complex. They’re all doing different things musically and it all pulls together so well. Awesome song.
Title Fight – In Between
Floral Green is a really cool album. They weren’t afraid to experiment on these recordings. I love the chorus of this tune and I love the main guitar part. Title Fight does what they want to do and the fact that people love their mentality is great.
Incubus - Dig
Incubus has always been a band I enjoy, and lately I’ve found myself listening to them more and more. I was bummed that I missed them last time they came around with Linkin Park. Would have been an awesome show.
Modest Mouse - Broke
Modest Mouse is my favorite band, and ‘Building Nothing Out of Something’ is my favorite album by them. Every time I hear the opening of this song I feel like I’m floating or something. They’re such a patient band and they aren’t scared of repeating parts for 5 minutes at a time. Coolest band.
Sunny Day Real Estate - One
Been getting into this band a lot lately. ‘Diary’ is a great record but I’ve been stuck on ‘The Rising Tide’ lately. The vocals and use of acoustic guitars draw me in super hard. Also their rythym section is super solid and brings everything together.
J. Cole – Too Deep For The Intro *Song is not on Spotify
There is nothing more refreshing than J. Cole’s mixtape “Friday Night Lights” It’s honest rap. There is no glam, just solid perspectives on life.
Crime In Stereo - …But You Are Vast
My favorite Crime record is “Is Dead”, this jam is definitely the anchor of the record, it hits home with me lyrically and I can listen to it over and over and not get tired of it.
Modest Mouse - Florida
I love Modest Mouse because every record is different yet the same, every record brings a new theme to the table and I relate to them all. This song isn’t my favorite on the record, but the dynamics and guitar tones make it really fun to listen to. It’s an in between jam that you don’t select right away but you end up learning the words because it’s catchy.
The Eagles – One Of These Nights
This song is straight groovy. I like listening to the Eagles on vinyl, and I did recently and remembered how cool this song is. This song makes me want to dance.
American Football - Never Meant
I am into more laid back types of music, so American Football has always been a main stay in my music rotation. I love this song because it captures a lot of emotion. It also keeps things laid back but intricate at the same time. Listen to this band! They aren’t a band anymore but still. DO IT!
Listener - Wooden Heart
I’m pretty sure I listen to this song at least twice a day. It is not only different from all the other music on my I pod but it’s so uplifting. There is a lot of hope in this song. I feel like we all need a little hope thrown our way on a daily basis. Lastly, This lyric from the song is amazing, ”Everything falls apart at the exact same time it comes together perfectly for the next step.”
Saves The Day - Shoulder To The Wheel
This song in my opinion is just a great classic pop punk song. I think all bands today can learn from such a great band like Saves The Day. This song is raw, simple, and honest. I love it. Saves The Day will always hold a spot in my heart as one of my favorite bands. - Kyle’s
The Ataris – In This Diary
I love this song because its a reminder to do what you love and pursue whatever it is you want in life. I was 13 when this song was released. Now, at 22, it really means a lot to me because I’m finally doing exactly what I want to with my life. “Being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up. These are the best days of our lives.”
New Found Glory - Truth Of My Youth
I love everything about this song. Musically, it’s so upbeat, energetic and fun to listen to. I’ve been feeling very nostalgic lately and this song really brings me back to my early teenage years.
It’s not ironic enough though, seeing as most grandmamas actually do have those problems with their knees and eyes.
Varsity jackets came and went dudemanbro. We are currently brainstorming ideas for the next big merch craze though.
Because we do popular kid stuff. Some of us are on the football team, some do cheerleading, and come springtime we’ll be on the baseball team. Our letterman jackets demand popularity.
Spongebob, flapjack, regular show, and fosters are all favorites.
Currently I’m all about Converge, Lydia, and Letlive
He owns 3 left maroon vans brand shoes.
Love stinks?
Little Caesars is fine. Tape garlic dipping sauce to some of the slices cause some of us dig that stuff.
I wasn’t aware of this, but really there should be no surprise that anyone listening to us also listens to other genres of music. Always expand your tastes.
I like when my girlfriend wears them and I hope she doesn’t see this post and think I’m weird.
Anybody that tells you that they don’t download music is either a liar or a saint. When I buy music I usually choose to get a record because of the packaging and different colored vinyl and whatnot. And it sounds better.
Babe the pig and babe, pig in the city.
Buy a hoodie, rip off the hood and there you go! Problem solved.
I say it with a silent j (heysús)
They’ll be out when you least expect it, very much like premature ejaculation.
I thought Aussies loved pickles though…
What does that even mean?
Buy her flowers and lick her butt hole
Fruity pebbles. Chin up.
i like pooping on boobs.
Inherit Colombian genes.
21, 22, 23, 59.
That is the best part about shows. People watching comes first, then performing.
